Questions to Ask Before Booking

  1. Approach & specialties: “Have you treated people with ___ before?”
  2. Fees & coverage: Ask about sliding scale; check if your workplace benefits, student plan, or private insurance will reimburse. Psychiatrists are OHIP‑covered; most community mental‑health agencies are free.
  3. Availability: Wait‑list length? Evening or virtual sessions?
  4. Fit: Book a brief consult if possible—shared comfort and trust predict success.
