2. Set SMART Financial Goals
- Make your goals Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound.
- Examples: Pay off $500 in credit card debt in 3 months, or save $50 per paycheck.
3. Tackle High-Interest Debt First
- Focus on paying down credit cards or loans with the highest interest rates.
- Even small extra payments can save you money long-term.
4. Create a Monthly Budget
- Plan how you’ll spend and save before the month begins. Allocate money for needs, wants, and savings.
- Try the 50/30/20 rule: 50% needs, 30% wants, 20% savings/debt repayment.
